SP6128A Demo Board Design
The SP6128A demo board design is a non-isolated dc-dc SIP module with very high efficiency at 15A output. It has smallest size compared with the current market products with the same power range and low EMI. Standard features include remote ON/OFF with the customer selectable positive and negative control, output voltage adjustment, soft start, over current and over temperature protection. This demo board proves that the SP6128A is a high-performance, but yet easy-to-use synchronous buck controller. It simplifies low voltage DC-to-DC power supply designs without compromising performance.

Leveraging Exar's industry proven T/E carrier product portfolio, with its SONET/SDH devices and system expertise, Exar offers a high-density T/E to SONET/SDH reference design platform - OrionTM. Ideal for T1/E1 transport applications the platform consists of several Exar devices: Voyager (XRT86SH328) industry's first integrated 28 channel T1/E1 LIU/Framer with VT/TU mapper and M13 multiplexer, Voyager-lite (XRT86SH221) Industry's first integrated 21-channel E1 LIU/Framer with VT/TU mapper, and XRT91L30 Exar's single channel OC-3/OC-12 transceiver. The modular shelf reference design platform was developed to accelerate network equipment vendors' entry into cost affective SONET/SDH aggregation markets. It also demonstrates Exar's broadband product portfolio solutions in metropolitan access networks. The OC-3/STM-1 T1/E1 aggregation platform -- OrionTM has a flexible system architecture that allows the same shelf hardware to be used for either 84 T1's or 63 E1's aggregated into OC-3/STM-1, simply by interchanging the module that consist of three XRT86SH328's or three XRT86SH221's. It also comes with all the device drivers and GUI required to run the system on specific network configurations and can be customized for specific customer applications.
